Evening Lenten Services: Come and join our last Lenten service on Wednesday April 9 at 7:30pm

Road to Resurrection: The Easter Event for Everyone! On the morning of Saturday, April 12, we will be hosting Road to Resurrection: The Easter Event for Everyone! This is a station event where you’ll get to step back in time and follow Jesus’ footsteps through the week leading up to his death and resurrection. Along the path you’ll encounter people who’ve met Jesus and become part of an incredible experience. We still have openings for our 10:00am and 10:15am tours!
If you’re interested in registering your family or group, please see the poster on the bulletin board in the narthex or visit our website.
A note for the volunteers: we will have a walkthrough on Wednesday, April 9 at 5:30pm. Dinner will be provided.

Elections of Executive Officers and Committee Members: will be held at the next Voters Meeting on April 24. Positions to be filled include: Chairperson, Church Life Chair, Operations Chair, Lay Ministry, Operations, Great Commission, and Evangelism & Education. Prayerfully consider and encourage each other how you might contribute to our leadership. Speak to Les, Jared or Bryan if you are willing or want to suggest someone who could be encouraged.

Junior Youth: Life Size Games On Friday, April 25, from 1-3pm, Junior Youth in grades 4-7 are invited to join us for some Life Size Games! Talk to Samantha for more information.

Young Adult Retreat: You Will Be My Witnesses (Acts 1:8) Young Adults (ages 18-35ish) are invited to join us here at King of Kings for a Young Adult Retreat, June 6-8. Young Adults from across the province have been invited as well as a number of presenters from different mission organizations. The registration cost is $60 per person. Talk to Samantha for more information or visit our website.

Life Coach at King of Kings  Life coaching is all about having a conversation or a series of conversations that help you figure out what really matters to you and what makes your life feel fulfilling.  We have access to a Certified Life Coach, Dierdre Franks, here at King of Kings. Please see the poster on the bulletin board in the foyer for more info!

“We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over Him.” (Romans 6:9)

This year, on April 20th, we will remember and celebrate the greatest day in the history of the human race…the day that Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, never to die again! Our strongest enemy, death, has been soundly defeated! The grave has no terror for the Christian. When Jesus returns, or when we die, in either case, we will be homeward bound! In glory, there is no more death, mourning, crying or pain…the old order of things has passed away! All of God’s people, and Jesus Himself, will be waiting for us with open arms!

Thanks be to God Who has rescued us in Christ!

He lives and my mansion to prepare;
He lives to bring me safely there.”

Women’s Retreat: When Life Gives You Lemons The LWMLC Parkland Zone is hosting a spring retreat the weekend of April 25-27, beginning at 7pm on Friday and ending at 12pm on Sunday. The retreat will be held at the 4H Center in Westerose. The presenter for the weekend will be Judi Luckhardt on the topic “When Life Gives You Lemons: Lean on Jesus’ strength during these difficult periods.” The cost for the weekend is $130 with lower costs available for attending for only part of the weekend. Registration is due April 4, talk to Samantha for more information.

The theme for the retreat is “Unearthing My Identity” with 1 John 3:1 serving as a theme verse. The registration cost for the event is $100 per person.
