Road to Resurrection: The Easter Event for Everyone!

Join us at Road to Resurrection: The Easter Event for Everyone on Saturday, April 12. This is a station event for all ages where you’ll step back in time and follow Jesus’ footsteps through the week leading up to his death and resurrection. Along the path you’ll encounter people who’ve met Jesus and become part of an incredible experience.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper!  Everyone is welcome to join our pancake supper this Tuesday starting at 5pm! If you are interested in helping out, check out the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board!

Craig Country Church Service: Starting March 4, the Caroline Church of the Nazarene will be putting on evening church services. Tuesday nights at 6:30pm. All are welcome!

Evening Lenten Services: Short evening services will be starting on Wednesday, March 5, at 7:30pm, and will continue weekly through the Lenten season. Come and join us to remember this season of Lent!

Lent Packages Lent packages are ready to be taken home, one for each household. You can find the packages in the narthex. Be sure to grab one paper bag of supplies, one plant and one devotion booklet. We hope that these packages will help you to reflect on the season of Lent, which begins Wednesday, March 5.

Grief Share: Are you grieving a loss? Find hope and healing after the death of a loved one at a weekly grief support group. The first Grief share meetings is this Tuesday, March 11, at 7:00pm. For more info contact Linda Herron at 403-588-6983

Spring Ladies Bible Study & Activity Ladies are invited to join us for a Bible Study & Activity on Saturday, March 15 from 2-4pm. We will once again spotlight a LWMLC mission grant and a freewill offering will be taken for it. Please bring a snack to share. Talk to Samantha for more information.

Junior Youth: Everybody Birthday Party On Friday, March 21, Junior Youth in grades 4-7 are invited to join us for an Everybody Birthday Party! We’ll play some party games and enjoy some delicious birthday treats. Talk to Samantha for more information.

Road to Resurrection: The Easter Event for Everyone! On Saturday, April 12, beginning at 9:30am, we will be hosting Road to Resurrection: The Easter Event for Everyone! In order to host this event, we need volunteers that would be willing to fill the following roles: Destination Guide (5 needed), Destination Helper (5 needed), Jesus (1 needed), Travel Guide (5 needed) and Kitchen Helpers (2-3 needed). Alberta Lutheran Spring Youth Retreat Youth in Grades 7-12 (2007-2012) are invited to the Alberta Lutheran Spring Youth Retreat, May 2-4, at Camp Bar-V-Nok on Pigeon Lake. The theme for the retreat is “Unearthing My Identity” with 1 John 3:1 serving as a theme verse. The registration cost for the event is $100 per person. Young Adult Retreat Young Adults (ages 18-35ish) are invited to join us here at King of Kings for a Young Adult Retreat, June 6-8. The theme for the retreat is “You Will Be My Witnesses” based on Acts 1:8. Young Adults from across the province have been invited as well as a number of presenters from different mission organizations. The registration cost is $60 per person. Life Coach at King of Kings What is life coaching?  Life coaching is all about having a conversation or a series of conversations that help you figure out what really matters to you and what makes your life feel fulfilling.  We have access to a Certified Life Coach, Dierdre Franks, here at King of Kings. These are the first recorded words of Satan in the Bible. Right from the start, our enemy has tried to cast doubt on the trustworthiness of God and His Word. This tactic of the devil has not changed. He does the same thing now. However, let us remember what the Lord Jesus said about Satan in John 8:44…”When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” When Jesus met the enemy face to face in the desert, He simply quoted Scripture to him, saying three times, “It is written…(Mathew 4:1 – 11).


Let us, also, take our stand upon the inerrant and infallible Word of God.

Actors Needed for an Easter Event the Board of Evangelism and Education is looking to put on an Easter event this year on Saturday, April 12. We are looking for people who are willing to be “actors.” This will involve dressing up as a Biblical character and knowing a few lines or reading off a script, if you’re more comfortable. You will be “acting” for small groups of people as they rotate through the event. It will not be a play with a large crowd. Talk to Samantha for more information or if you would be interested in helping out!
