Back to the Garden: A spring Workshop for Women: Certified Life Coach, Dierdre Franks, is putting on a FREE workshop on beauty, fear and freedom for women! It will be held on May 24 at 1:00pm right here at the church! If you are interested see the bulletin board for more info!

Two Weeks to Register: Young Adults (ages 18-35ish) are invited to join us here at King of Kings for a Young Adult Retreat, June 6-8. Our theme will be “You Will Be My Witnesses” based on Acts 1:8. Young Adults from across the province have been invited as well as a number of presenters from different mission organizations. The registration cost is $60/person and the deadline to register is May 23. Talk to Samantha for more information or visit the website.

Vacation Bible School: We are excited to welcome children ages 4-12 to A Mighty Fortress: Vacation Bible School, July 14-18! Registration is open on our website.

Life Coach at King of Kings  What is life coaching?  Life coaching is all about having a conversation or a series of conversations that help you figure out what really matters to you and what makes your life feel fulfilling.  We have access to a Certified Life Coach, Dierdre Franks, here at King of Kings.  This is a ministry supported by the Great Commission Fund.  Please see the poster on the bulletin board in the foyer for more information and available time slots.

VBS Supplies Needed: Start saving your cereal boxes and large cardboard boxes for crafts and decorating. If you already have some saved, bring them to the church for the work bee on May 6. 

Confirmation Sunday: Join us on May 11 for the celebration of confirmation for Allaynah, Jacob, Petrine, Boaz, Lydia and Enoch!  A potluck lunch will follow the service. Please bring a main or a side dish. Dessert will be provided.

“Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the Word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:7-8)

I sometimes use this space to introduce to you some of our Christian leaders from the past. Today, I
would like to tell you a tiny bit about Athanasius of Alexandria, a city in Egypt. He was called to glory
on May 2, 373 A.D.
Athanasius was well known for standing strong for the Christian Faith in the face of opposition. He
wrote a book titled, “On the incarnation of the Word,” that defended the Biblical truth that Jesus is
100% God and 100% man at the same time. He was exiled a number of times, but Athanasius stood
firm on the teaching of Scripture. In the midst of all the resistance, someone told him that the world
was against him. To this Athanasius replied, “If the world is against the truth, then I am against the
world.”

By the grace of God, may we all stand strong in Jesus!

For Pastoral Care While Pastor is Away:  Pastor Russ will be away April 21-29. Arnold Kaiser will be the Lay Minister on call during this time.

Elections of Executive Officers and Committee Members: will be held at the next Voters Meeting on April 24. Positions to be filled include: Chairperson, Church Life Chair, Operations Chair, Lay Ministry, Operations, Great Commission, and Evangelism & Education. Prayerfully consider and encourage each other how you might contribute to our leadership. Speak to Les, Jared or Bryan if you are willing or want to suggest someone who could be encouraged.

Junior Youth: Life Size Games: On Friday, April 25, from 1-3pm, Grades 4-7 are invited to join us for some Life Size Games! Talk to Samantha for more information.

KKLC Choir Resuming: Choir practice will be resuming after the Easter season starting Sunday Morning, April 27th at 9:15 and every week onward Please consider joining us! For more info contact Melanie.

Ladies Bible Study & Social: Ladies, you’re invited to join Amanda and Samantha for our last Ladies Bible Study before the summer on Saturday, May 24 from 2:00-4:00pm. We will meet outdoors (weather permitting) at the Vohs farm for Bible Study and a time of socializing. Once again, we will be highlighting an LWMLC mission grant project and a freewill offering will be taken. Please bring a snack to share. Talk to Samantha or Amanda for more information.
